Well, now I went and did it. I got me some new website.
About five years ago, when I started my blog and website, I opted for a color scheme of burgundy and (later) black. You can find the color swatch set filed under ‘Trent Reznor’s aura” on Kuler.
I liked the site at the time, and to be honest I still like a lot of it. But over the passing time, I’ve changed a lot. The company has done well, and I think I’ve established my personality somewhat without alienating more than 60 or 70 percent of the woodworking community (a major victory). So for the last year or so I’ve wanted to do a major site revision, with a bit more ‘open’ feeling, both in the layout and structure, and in the presentation of myself.
So here it is. https://daedproduction.wpengine.com
I’m not a web designer (though I do play one on the web) so it may not be the most elegantly coded site on the web, but I think it does who I am and what I do fairly well.
You’ll notice that there’s a section on the home page titled ‘articles’. This will be populated over time with select projects and pieces from my blog, as well as a number of articles and videos relating to plane making, hand plane technology, and woodworking in general.
Finally, because I’m an idiot – and because the internet is a bigger idiot – somehow, every photo to ever appear on my blog was erased in the shift to a new host. I’ll be replacing these over the next couple of weeks, in reverse chronological order, so please don’t mock me too badly until then.

You Know, Sean – it’s comments like that which make PJ Harvey wish she could unhinge her jaw and eat your entire face.

Considering that all the white space means you need fewer words, is there any chance that your blog positions will go from being once per lunar eclipse to one per start of the new season of any major sport?
